Quite the dorky question, I know, but still- I'd rather sit on the side of the plane that has the cool view.
HNL, OGG (maui) and LIH (kuai): for these 3 airports anyone know the preferred/normal takeoff runway for hawaiin airlines planes?
thx
You can easily move around the empty seats in flight
Probably so on Go. However Hawaiians flights are still running pretty full.

The 83% load factor is systemwide. Mainland is holding it's own, some flights like Tahiti are light and SYD is only been running half full since the holidays. Inter-island is probably more than 83% full and has been way to full to "move around"
That said I got your humor (I think)
My bad! I did not think an airline with 83% load would post a Quarterly Loss. Lousy Air fare war....
Actually they had a $29 million operating profit. They were able to show a loss by a lot of one time charges, they paid taxes ahead of time, they bought fuel hedges, etc. All the unions are in contract talks right now, so, the company is walking a tightrope between the investors and labor. I've heard all the explanations and it's way too extensive to go into here. The bottom line is Hawaiian is in relatively good shape with a very good balance sheet.
Mesa?Go is in such bad shape that they can no longer piss away money, so inter-island is no longer a cash drain.
What?? At least HA is sticking it to GO!/Mukulala while they stick it to each other.. Perrrrrfect..
Ignore him Dan, he's just a flamer in bed with JO.
I hate go! more than you could ever know. Your comment stands as flame while you flame me. One time loss is still a loss any way it is cut up. sorry
go flick your bic. dipstick.............
I happen to think HA is a class act, a real model for other airlines to look to. Do you ever get to eat the first class food????
you'll have to excuse me if I'm wrong.............. but the tone of your posts in this string ring of smartarseness, all too familiar to HA naysayers.
If you're not a basher, check your tone, because it doesn't sound contrite.
Hawaiian is not flying a lot of empty seats around. It's also not losing money. Quite an achievement in this economy.
So your saying an ID90 over spring break here in the islands might work out well to go to SYD???? It is fall down there.....
