My friend who does not have access to this site currently flies an EMB-120 as an FO for a cargo company in the US. He wants to work for Wiggins flying the C-208 and be based in the NE as close as possible to Northern NJ. I checked out the Wiggins Airways web site but it does not list domiciles. I fly to EWR all the time and I sometimes hear Wiggins flying there at night in the caravans and I was curious if they have a EWR domicile for pilots? If not, what bases are within 2 hour driving distance from let's say EWR?

On the web site, it states that $33,000 is the starting pay plus per diem. How much is the per diem and is it tax free?

How often do you get a raise and how much is it?

What kind of benefits are offered?

How are the schedules and the average flight time per month?

And the most important, do you have to load and unload your own freight?

Thanks!!!

Call them--they are very friendly folks and will tell you more than you need to know. I fly to EWR all the time and I sometimes hear Wiggins flying there at night in the caravans (Not a great plane to be flying around the NE in icing conditions) and I was curious if they have a EWR domicile for pilots? If not, what bases are within 2 hour driving distance from let's say EWR? Pretty sure they are all based outside and fly into EWR for the nightly feed.

Yearly-not sure.

What kind of benefits are offered?

 • Medical, Dental, Disability and Life Insurance
 • 401(K)

 • Competitive compensation package
 • Opportunity for advancement

How are the schedules and the average flight time per month?
Depends on the run-some are day runs and others are overnights and back early am.-They get you a hotel-so no FBO Shack ups.
A little detective work on flightaware will tell you alot!

And the most important, do you have to load and unload your own freight?
Never- against the unions rules. All you do is supervise for W&B Loading issues.
B99 routes--YES!

Thanks!!!

Where is your "friend" from? It sounds like at least one of you is not from America. There are only a few countries I can think of that might give "him" problems with joining a website such as this. One would be Saudi Arabia. If it is the ten bucks that's an issue, why don't you loan yor "friend" the money so he can search for a job "himself"? Is the english language a problem?
I, for one am tired of reading the "I have a friend" posts. If these folks don't have the capability to find a job on their own, maybe they don't belong in a cockpit.
Just my opinion, narrow minded as it is.
I agree with the other poster in saying have him pick up a phone and make a call if he wants to get a job. Or maybe he would want you to do that for him as well.

? Don't read the posts than. For your information, when I got this account it was free, he does not want to pay the 10 dollars and asked me to post about Wiggins. A forum like this is for such reasons, to ask questions, spread rumors, etc.

How sad. Sounds like he doesn't even own a computer if you had to research the Wiggins website for him. That is free. Please tell him about the public library and the free web access that they provide.
Here's some info and the phone numbers that you can call and ask his questions directly for him. If he calls for himself, you might let him know that they frown on collect calls.
