Why so many Mesaba CRJ FO's?

Wow only 2 captains in the mid Sept. CRJ class? That means 22 fo's and only 8 captains so far. I guess the captains will be working a lot while the fo's sit around.

Those numbers don't include all of the new instructors/check airmen who will be flying with those same f/o's. So far there are about 10 captains in training and only 6 f/o's. It will all even out in the end.
