Skyrocketing? As in 18 to 20 cents?
hmmm
I guess some consider that skyrocketing in the aviation industry!!![]()
You dont call an 80% rise in less than 30 minutes skyrocketing? Yesterday Mesa was .47 went up to .92 in just a few minutes and now sitting at .69. I bet it sees over a dollar next week for another good chunk of money in my day trade portfolio, as much of a cockroach JO is, his stupidity and mismanagement is making me a ton of money right now!
You were long MESA? WOW, bigger balls than I have and I was shorting oil futures.
My 2 cents....It seems like all of the non-mesa pilots talk like they created the industry and mesa rueined it for them but yet they themself have done nothing. One question for you then...have you ever been on strike with your job at risk? If so speak freely you deserve it!!!!, all you other bandwagon losers grow up and shut up until you grow some balls of your own and can prove you actually sacrificed something of your own to help improve the industry. The only people I know that did this recently are the comair guys of a few years ago, and this does NOT include the present comair guys hired since then. I am still waiting for you to give back something....besides your big mouth. Skywest has screwed ASA, Midway, and soon Expressjet, so you guys are not any better right now. Yeah you can control managenment, go on strike or do a sickout.... Same goes for any airline. Rather then talking trash about the mesa guys why don't you try to help them understand how better everywhere else is and do something productive for once....Support your fellow pilots to save this freaken industry!

You've got to be kidding.
If Mesa pilots hold a strike vote with the stock price in the tank and after an unprofitable quarter, they just might demonstrate they have the cojones to actually "kick azz".
I don't see it happening. No one else here does either. This is the reason Mesa pilots are the joke of the industry. Not the backpacks, not the hair gel, not the "boards".
Mesa pilots are a joke because they're union labor that refuses to play hardball because they're afraid they might lose. So they take the scraps that JO gives them and whine about how everything is everyone else's fault. It happened last time around, and it will happen again this time.
To quote Braveheart "Men follow courage."
Do your homework...As in the time of my post vs. daily stock chart. I'm glad I dont have you as my financial advisor. Even at a 18 cent daily gain, thats one hell of a payday.... when you have thousands of shares at .52!
No I was never long on MESA that would just be stupid at this point, I bought at .70 when the HA settlement was announced and sold at 1.06 for a very nice gain. Bought back at .79 later and sold at .70 for a small loss. Bought again Tuesday in anticipation of a judgment on the injunction 12000 shares at .52 and missed the run to .92 while I was flying, had a stop limit to sell in case the news bad. Now its .69 still sitting with a very nice gain on anticipation of the long..long...delayed 10Q, betting they may show a small profit for a good gain next week...we will see.
You can make a ton of money trading this thing on JO mismanagement skills before it really goes tits up.
Your right, a strike vote would be perfect right now. Ive been trying to get that across to the folks at the MEC...but....there is a lot of finger pointing. pilots pointing at the union and union at the pilots. There is VERY LITTLE communication right now. Ive flown with many CAs who are ready to vote on a strike and are waiting on the MEC. But when you got guys helping the company out and doing TDY in JFK with a guarantee pay off 100hrs, and making deals with SOC isnt helping the cause either. We need to get some communication going and get the word out. We cant let this company climb out its hole unless we get a contract thats worth talking about.
We need the guidence of the biggest, baddest, ALPA MEC out there....UAL

First off who the hell was Midway and how did SKYW screw them over? Secondly how exactly did ASA get screwed over? And third just because you haven't struck doesn't mean you don't have the right to know that mesa is Bringing down the industry.
When MJ was the MEC chair, they had some outside company do a survey by phone and of all the pilots polled, over 90% said they would be willing to strike. That was then. Now that we have a new MEC chair who is a total company man and is squarely in JO's pocket, the strike vote will probably never happen.
LOL! Thousands of shares at $.52/ share. Your investing several+ thousand dollars into a penny stock that can go in either direction (hopefully down)....... might as well go to Vegas and gambel it. At least you will get a free room, food, and maybe some pu$$y. Hopefully that stock doesnt take any of your money, would be sad to say that you are losing money to Mesa Airlines and you dont even work there.
Oh and Pdub, the writing was on the walls the first day you got hired. I left in 05, was there 7 months too long. Good Luck!
I think the original poster meant Air-Wiz.
It's odd how you work for SkyWest and don't even know what your own company dabbles in. So which airline are you talking about? The SkyWest you work for, or the Skywest in Australia? You work in the airline industry and you can not admit to punctuating SkyWest incorrectly? I'll take my lumps on the regards snafu when you come to terms with which airline you're talking about. Next thing I know, you'll be confusing XJ with XE like everyone else on here.
I publicly apologize and admit that I was wrong. I made the above statement shortly after I statedIts because you are stupid and you don't really understand what is going on.
and have shown in the last few days that I commit more errors than most, such as not knowing how to spell "regard" (I spelt it "reguard"), "space bar" (I used "spacebar", which is fairly common, but I believe Wikipedia more than a dictionary), or "you're" (I used "your" instead).I shouldn't even have to explain this to you, but....
Lose - as in, "I hope no one will lose any flying."
Loose - as in, "I hope there's no loose language in your contract."
Quite a few of you are unsure which word to use, and when, on almost a daily basis. I was insinuating that this should be a prerequisite for being hired and was meant purely in jest.
