Why is AT&T losing its pilots?

Did you guys who flew there ever hear of the Pompous Asst CP listening into the CVR? Apparently when the company had 2 bases, he got caught by a maint guy listening in on what folk were saying about him. Really hope that's still not going on.

I wasn't there really long enough to know everyone. I still can't believe what a dysfunctional department it became (or always was and I didn't know it). If anything it should serve as a cautionary tale.

I got to work (and still with one) with some great folks. Sorry they got the axe so some could get out from under homes they couldn't afford, get a paid move to Dallas, only to leave or retire shortly thereafter.

I don't recall it, although people joked about such a thing... That joke is thrown around everywhere so I don't put much weight behind it.

I know they hired half a dozen of us with 121 experience. All my colleagues with that background were FABULOUS pilots. Not sure that answers the question you asked but there you go.

This place is a powder keg right now. Everyone is distancing themselves from the Flight Attendant Supervisor. She could very well end up taking Director, CP, and Pompous Asst CP down with her. She and the Director can't explain this one away by giving an award like they did when she no-showed a CEO trip.

Because he didn't know anything about how to run a flight department, and by all accounts still doesn't, he put his faith in the Pompous Asst CP, the same guy stalking the directorship. The people the Pompous one put in place have screwed up. Bad. Now the Director has to save face by appearing to stand by the guy. Sounds like it's going to cost a lot more then the Directors diversity bonus. A true 3 Ring Circus, without a Ringmaster.
