Thank you for all of your responses.

I really like what Diesel had to say. Those are great reasons to be at any job.

Some of you guys make it sound as if you fly fractional as a last resort, or because you can't get a good corporate gig. That's too bad.

To answer the question about if I have QOL at my job, I do. Time off, schedule, stability, etc, etc. But I'm there because it is a fit, not because 135 or Fractional is not a fit.

I really hope most of you have your job, whatever it is, because you love it, not because it is the lesser of the evils.

Again, Diesel, you sound happy and content. You make it sound really great to fly at your company.

Diesel has never flown for an airline!!

How come your not back at an airline?(JetBlue, Airtran, SWA, Fedex)

as far as Diesel-to each his own-I know there were a few things with NJA I liked better than the airlines(biggest was no commute, crew food, hotel/airline points)
I do like the day to day ops better at an airline.

There is a good eye-talian restaurant in the North End?
All I know of is this great Chinese Place.

man the chinese place is awsome. Imagine living above it. :)

We met some of your old buds from the customs/border patrol former army down in Yuma last week. They said to say hello. They also said you could roll in it and come out smelling like roses. Hope you are enjoying the Airbus, keep the tail on though!

Does the chinese place have any cold tea??

Fractional - different destinations every trip. For christ sakes, I flew an ADF approach two days ago! Two trips ago, my stays were AVL, JAX, EYW and LUK. Got bombed in AVL, Ran on the beach in Jax, relaxed in EYW and went to the Reds-Cubs game in Cincy.

It certainly isn't for the money. The QOL is pretty good. Probably work about 15 days a month, rarely more.

The variety and the stability are factors that appeal to my husband as well. He also enjoys the camaraderie that is possible when you're paired as a flight crew for an entire tour. He has made friends and enjoys flying with them regularly. I'll also add, that he is a strong team player and likes participating in a union, so NJ is a good fit for him. That said, he will not stay if they can't get a good/fair contract. Other NJ pilots that enjoy the job, but NOT the pay, say the same thing.

I flew for a Frac, picked up three types for free had fun doing it. But for me it was just a stepping stone.........to Hawaii! ;)

Cold tea. Just when you've had too much to drink and you've found yourself in chinatown after the bars close. So you're eating General Tso's chicken and drinking a pot of cold tea.

Tha walk back is like a carnival ride.
