Why do pilots moan about a call from the Chief Pilot?

I've had a couple of really great CP's. But there have been tons more who were dip$h!ts.

Most are "pilots" in name only and retire after a 30 year career with 2,000 hours flying time at the airline.

We had one 'Moran' who nearly totalled a 747 while trying to build 500 hours of PIC in order to get hired on the contract at Nippon Cargo. He got turned down.

If you pull into the gate and you happen to see the cp standing in the jetway chances are he's not there to tell you what a good job you're doing.
