born with the bug, i guess. always look up when i hear a plane, even to this day, although i'm able to tune airliners out a little bit.

Plus, because almost everyone i know hates their job, except me. maybe a few docs i know are into it, but that passion that gets me through aviation's trials is the same one that got them through all those grueling years in med school.

and for all you who think, i should've been a (fill in the blank) ... if you'd wanted to, you'd have done it. plus, every other career has just as many downsides, and in some cases many more than aviation does.
 
When I was five years old, my father and EAL Captain Mel Keene put me on the jumpseat of a DC-9-51 going from Atlanta to Buffalo one night.

I was hooked. Why would anyone want to do anything else? :)
 
I took my first airline flight on a DAL 737..... I'll be dam ned if it didn't fuk up the rest of my life.....:D
 
Why did I want to be a pilot? Don't know something about me, but watching C-5s, and C-141s practicing at Norton Air Force base sure helped.
