I was thinking, and have been thinking of a theory but cant realize why it cant work:
And no i wont run for alpa president-- or maybe i will and this will be my platform:
instead of bargaining thru eachand every alpa property, why not negotiate with the biggest and best health insurance plan we can get and put all alpa pilots on it-- if we have 66,000 pilots and maybe 70% use insurance that isnt their spouses, why couldnt we get a great rate on health insurance thereby not having to bend over at every property for good health insurance-- everyone will be the same and we can get other QOL items-- such as pay, better scheduling-- youget the point-- we need to stop battling health insurance at each property and get a bigger, more national , union wide picture.
ANy ideas, good , bad, just trying to throw this out there--
thanks,
