We've all been there...You change from center to center, approach control to tower, when suddenly that next controller sends you instructions in the sexiest voice your headset has ever heard. Its a nice change of pace you have to admit. Day in and day out we expect to deal with "Frank," a frustrated, auctioneer sounding, addicted-to-coffee FAA employee, when one day you get "Cleared ILS 35" from a woman that sounds like she'd be better off at a 1-900 service. So then you start to wonder, "I wonder if she's as hot as she sounds?" Then you start to reason the odds, and if you're like me you think, "Hot women work for Victoria's Secret or your neighborhood dentist, not in a dark cave with radar scopes." But before you're too quick to assume, consider this article from the February 2005 issue of Men's Health...and then think twice.
Entitled "The Scarlett Johansson Effect"
"A voice holds clues to a person's body shape and sexual behavior", reports a new study at Vassar College of 149 college students, published in Evolution and Human Behavior. Researchers recorded the voices of participants counting outloud from one to 10, and had members of the opposite sex (without seeing them) rate each voice. Voices that rated "attractive", consistantly belonged to people who were attractive physically (measured by waist-to-hip and shoulder-to-hip ratios) and who had the most sexual experience. Overall good health and lifestyle belonged to the "sexy voices" as well.
Hope you enjoyed this little fact, and if you really need more proof..try Tulsa tower or Addison tower in Dallas...usually later at night. This theory has GOT to be true for these two ladies.
