I did.

And boy, that extra $2.50 for a one-way ticket is WAYYYY too much to spend for the security. ;)

What was I thinking??? Shoulda voted for Kerry, so my taxes could pick up the tab instead.

Besides, for $99 we can get a ticket round trip to the moon, I don't mind the $2.50. While he's at it, W should increase ticket prices by about 50% so maybe the airlines will be around a little longer. W, STILL the President!

Please don't rewrite history. About 51% of those who voted in the lastelection chose Bush. So "most did" isn't quite correct. A slim majoritydid, since 49% of the country also voted for Kerry.

I'm not going to get into a Bush-Kerry debate here. Bush's actions will determine how good or bad a president he is.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it...

From Websters:
Most:
The majority of the people; the masses
Majority:
The greater number or part; a number more than half of the total

So therefore MOST did vote for Bush Aeroboy.

If you are going to stick to a story, make it a correct one.

HawkerF/O

Your post displays your youth and inexperience. Thank God that Bush won the election. This country would have been in a real fix had Kerry won. Rather then it costing you a couple of bucks for airline security, he would be getting deep in your pockets for every give away program he and Ed Kennedy could think of.

Thank you, rick, for saving me the effort of pointing this out. :D

What the heck is this doing in the Corporate fourm anyway?

Oh, never mind, a Democrat put this here. Should have know.

FracDaddy,

Your posts shows your lack of knowledge on this subject. At best, you are commenting on a subject that greatly exceeds your scope ofknowledge. I can say that to you, because, if you understood thesituation, you would know it's not the extra 2.50 that it costs ME,it's the extra 2.50 (per leg) that the airlines now have to collect, charge, and distribute. It's that 2.50 that keeps bumping upticket prices, so now someone on the fence about flying due to theprice is certainly not going to now gettnig nickled-and dimed left andright; not by the airline, but by the gov't. I thought Bushwas all against additional taxes. hmmmmm. What happenedthere? Finally, there is no telling where that money willgo. Congress can at any time see that big pot of cash justsitting there and divert its funds (sum or all) at their discretion forwhatever purpose they see fit. Now, put that in your pipe andsmoke it.

Typical Democratic arrogance. Could Hawker F/O be any more condescending? I love the insults, he really used them well to justify is well thought out, fact based argument.

Well-done Hawker! Just what I would have expected!

I see this was posted one minute earlier on the MAJORS section. Post this in the only place it belongs, NON-AVIATION related. Sure it mentions an increase in ticket fare, but you posted it not as an aviation post but as a political dig. Get over it. I more than make up that extra 2.50 in the taxes that aren't being taken out of my pocket.

Illini:
Available now: "Center, Falcon XXX FL380."

I got to say exaclty that the other night for the first time (minus the xxx.) I still can't get used to it.

Yeah, it's been a little weird getting used to it.
Funny story, this happened last night going to BWI to pick up our new football coach to bring him back from a recruiting trip.
We filed 350 as a final (good winds) but they stopped us at 330 for traffic (this was still on the west side of Indy. They then told us that 330 is our final due to traffic. We weren't upset, by any means, but we did think it was funny that with all of these new altitudes, we were stuck down low. Heck, we even offered 370 or 390 but they said notta chance.
Oh well. We still were cruising with a 604 kt groundspeed at .86 the whole way! It was great!

Hey F/O

Since you have all the answers, I am curious as to how else you think we are supposed to pay for all this additional security.

I know the airlines have got lots of extra cash laying around,,,, lets let them do it! (NOT)

I will be happy to pay my extra $2.50 every time I fly, or even double that as long as we are working against never seeing another hijacked airliner used as a weapon.............. So put that in YOUR pipe and smoke it.

And yeah, I voted for him too!

The little thing Kerry did not tell you, is that alleged tax cut for the rich most likely saved your job!!! It is very likely that the 50% depreciation on new airplanes was the only thing that kept the factory doors at Raytheon / Lear / and Cessna open.

Never forget how many Jobs the "Rich" create.

Oh yeah, I am far from rich, and I got a tax break too,, bet you did as well.
