You know, if it wasn't for all the Republicans, Democrats, and foreigners, Pat wouldn't have anybody to dislike...

Democrats are on the run to create momentum to ban guns again, because the Republicans have vowed to allow the communist BILL CLINTON "Assault Weapon Ban of 1994" sunset.

The ban, which just bans features on guns, such as bayonet lugs, barrel shrouds, pistol grips on shot guns and rifles, folding stocks, never did regulate any guns themselves. Just features on the guns.

Now the Democrats are working on "THE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS PROTECTION ACT of 1993" or House Rule 2038. An all new bill, that would only remove guns from law abiding citizens, leaving the police with no more protection today, than yesterday.

I have been on law enforcement forums and the police do not endorse this bill as they still have to walk up to houses and cars assuming everyone is armed anyway...

Here is an article on the HR 2038...a bill that will make pilots that are gun collectors and shooters...criminals.

Typhoon, I don't think Pat dislikes Dems and Repubs, Its just so clear that both are acting rather stupidly. When 83 of 100 senators voted to give China "most favored nation" status it forces US workers to compete with comminist workers that by definition have a much lower standard of living. The average wage of a worker in China is $.47 per hour, $.18 in Vietnam. These people are forced by their system to accept such low wages; US workers should not have to compete with these communist systems.

I can't argue with you there!

Wow. Didn't know the Chinese have faired so well. My apologies for being so critical of the Chinese in the past. It probably only takes the average Chinaman 6 months wages now to buy a pair of Nikes instead of a year. Wonder if all the American manufacturers are going to leave China in favor of Vietnam (all in the name of shareholder value of course) ?

Personally I am getting sick of partisanship these days. Sure there are certain issues where I wouldn't want them to get anything done (read taxes, my rate is just fine right now).

But today I was listening to the President's Weekly radio address, it was about making it easier to for the Forest Service to thin the forests (you know so we don't have half the US on fire every summer). Along with more money for the National Park service to fix up some of the parks that need maintenance. Stuff that I figure everyone would want.

Wrong! The first call on the program that is on break during the address "You know the Bush family only likes to do three things; mining, drilling, and logging." I mean for Christ sakes, give it a break already, Bush could turn into an extreme liberal, and I think the left would still hate him because he has an R besides his name.

Politics is really just pissing me off lately.
