Yeah instead of blaming India and China why not try to reduce the demand. Buy a hybrid instead of a H2 next time. Anyway... fuel is very cheap in the US compared to the rest of the world. In europe people drive fuel efficient cars because gas is $4/gallon. So maybe rising prices will force us all to be more fuel efficient anyway. GOOD!

And as for Anwar... it is a hoax. There is not enough oil in Anwar to make much of a difference anyway. The annual US consumption of oil is about 100 times what is in Anwar.

Dude, you're on the regionals board! We can't afford a
hybrid, let alone a Hummer! And the point of China's
demand on oil supplies is valid.

BTW, my understanding is that most of the
increased cost for fuel in Europe is
higher taxes...probably used to
subsidize their public transportation,
but that is just a guess. Who knows
which pockets are being lined.

Arguments like this will cost all of our
jobs eventually...there is a limited
amount of crude oil, and rail is the
most efficient way to move things/
people from the fuel side.

And it really pisses me off for a bunch
of people that have never been to the
Great Land (Alaska) blocking further
use of our own reserves. More of the
Hollyweird tail wagging the dog!

It has nothing to do with the Hollywood anything. It's a buttload of people who would liek to see some land untouched and unspoiled by corporate America.
