Just watched a commutair 1900 go by my window in boston 15 visual 4L.

is CJC comutair?

You know he's low when i'm looking level at him coming down the river. Must be his first time into 4L from the visual to 15

Thks. he gave his boston riders quite a view today

When I was flying the mighty beech, I use to love that approach!!

Better brief the pax or the ones on the right side will start to scream..... post 9/11.

Yeah well i live in one of the towers you aim at. It's rare to see one eye level though.

When I use to do them, I generally started down once I crossed the bridge and kept about 800 feet down the river. Downtown was a look to the right and up.

No, you didn't.

is CJC comutair? {sic}
No. Why did you open by asserting that it was, then asking?

CommutAir's planes say "Continental Connection" on the side of them. They have for 4 years now. (Half of them are still US Airways colors, but that's a whole different issue. :D ) Our noses have numbers, not letters (like CJC), just FYI. Guess that's how CO wants it.

I couldn't remember if it was commutair or colgan which had the left over blue 1900's.

I'm just trying to figure out if that's the plane that did the circle. I checked and saw that a CJC was landing at that time.

The usually put the props on that approach, we did it today later in the afternoon and we may have been a bit lower than usual, seems every time you do it you fly it a little lower than the last time ....

the 15 circle to 4L is one of the best approaches out there. I miss doing it in the Dash8.

Great approach, although have only done it once in the past three years (did it all the time in summer of '01). Technically though it is not a circling approach as the notes for the ILS 15R state that circling is not authorized west of 4L-22R. This is why approach always clears you for the "ILS 15R transition to the visual 4L".

(Half of them are still US Airways colors, but that's a whole different issue. :D )

I think we are at 21 airplanes right now with 830, 836, 838, 839, 852, 853 and 858 being the ones painted in CAL colors (somewhat - look closely when they are next to CAL or XJT planes). Two thirds are not painted yet. Funny thing, I found a website the other day with a BE-1900 download for Flight Simulator. They had several different liveries, including Champlain Enterprises dba CommutAir dba Continental Connection. What paint scheme did they use? Not the (somewhat) CAL scheme, they used one of the old hybrid USAirways scheme.

Hey Big H.....

I don't always agree with Chper, but I do respect his opinions. You started the name calling on this thread by denegrating someone else's equipment. Some people have very hard felings about Colgan for very good reasons. My hard feelings are reserved for people in Mx who are no longer employed there. Unless you were on the property in the summer of '03, you have no right to attack someone who was. If you were, pm me and we can talk, in a civil fashion.

You said it yourself, "no longer employed".

Also Colgan is not the same place it was in the summer of '03 ... Our Mx is not the top in the industry but I've yet to fly an aircraft I didn't feel 100% comfortable flying, that's probably also because every captain I've flown with here has no reservations on grounding an airplane that's questionable.

Anyway dude, I'm not trying to argue, you're right, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and come on now, I fly an overgrown King air for crying out loud, how can you take any minijet comments seriously ...

Aaaaaaanyway, we've gone way off track on this post, sorry bout that ....

hey big h where you flying around 2:30?

A little low? The plane was level with me from the bridge on. Now that's low.

May have been round that time, but in any case I wasn't flying that leg .... but you're right it was pretty low, I like to stay a bit high and lose most of the altitude on the turn to final, trick is to do that w/out setting off the Gipwiz ...

You're too funny..

By the way... I haven't said anything negative about Colgan in a few weeks. I'm going to let the legal process speak for what I've been saying.

Sweetheart.. ha

You been awfully quiet lately, everything OK? Don't worry Brother Chper, "THE" Legal process will have it's way soon for the better. For what it's worth, Big Brother (our future potential employer) has been dipping their hands in the MX cookie jar, BIG TIME!...too soon to tell if anything has improved ,but for now...SOS.

Enjoy the Bomber Jet, that's a real plane you lucky dog.

What's up Lucky??

.

Nada.... Just livin the dream in more places. Occaisionally, I see Druglord. One thing is certain, the commute is alot easier for me than 3 legs to bhb. The new place is great and the captains are all good. The schedules are much better.

I'll let you know when we do another Vegas trip. I gotta brush up the poker skills.

C Ya!

Glad to hear all is well. You better give me a call when you come out!!

Godfather

All is well... Too much energy wasted on CJC in the past. I get frequent updates from friends at both alphabet agencies.

The bomber jet is a blast. I've never worked less in my life.. not to mention I'm making more money here.
