Pretty low time compared to the others. As the others said though, pretty much anyone who meets the mins is going to apply. You've probably got the whole spectrum out there. Good luck!

Still Waiting (Patiently...I think)

Typed: May 02 (THX to Mike S. at K&S)
Paper App: January 03
Re-Applied via Online: Jan 04
TT: 4,968.3 (but who's counting)
PIC Turbine: 2,300 EMB/CRJ

Still waiting...trying to be patient. Hoping the trigger is the 5,000 hour mark. Only one box left to check...Line Check Airman...but I'm hoping to make that in the next month or two.

Southwest is the only major I've ever wanted to work for. I hope I'm at least able to get a shot at it soon. Fortunately I'm also quite satisfied with my current position.

Pay

Interview

I still haven't figured what's worse; PFI or Pay-For-Training. Or is it the same???

Bako Cap,

Flying RJ's for janitor wages is the worst. If you thought you could pass the type ride, you would be getting a type and applying too!

yeah I just can't figure out how all these colleges charge for tuition and after 4 years and getting a degree you are now qualified to be hired by some companies

I guess that is Pay For Job, PFJ

Bill makes a good point. But if you dont accept one of these low paying jobs how are you ever gonna get the experience that companies like SWA want? From what I have read on these boards, SWA prefers military PIC and 121 PIC. Well, flying an RJ will get you that 121 time and make you competitive. It does not appear to me that guys flying part 135 or 91 are getting the call from SWA so maybe accepting janitor wages is the way to go. I for one am doing my part to help my fellow brethen out by not appying to the regionals but I believe that this approach has made me less competitive.
