"Get the right to work".

True,True,True......My A**......

The green card procedure itself has several different categories. The best, from the worker's point of view, is EB-1, the so-called National Interest Waiver. If the worker can document that he is of truly exceptional talent, i.e. world-class, he can actually sponsor himself for a green card, thereby avoiding the indentured-servant problem . There are also the EB-2 and EB-3 green card categories, which are employer-sponsored.

Does Holland, Germany, France, Austria allow a "exceptional talent" to qualify for a self sponsored "Green Card"? I wonder how many EB-1, EB-2 and EB-3 are in the future? Just think, a US airline pilot workforce calls a strike and then the Fatcats at Corporate America comb the world for "exceptional talent", with the added bonus of EB-2 or EB-3 status of sucking the Company hose with added enthusiasm.
I was EB3 status, after 5 years of proving this and that I may end up getting a GC in a few months. Germany has the same, believe it or not. All you need is to prove that you occupy a job for which no native workforce exists. Exactly the same as EB2 (6 year degree) or EB3 (4 year degree) categories.

National interest waiver is for people who your own DOD or some other institution thinks can be of any use in the interest of the USA. Mostly Phd holders and researcher. Try to get a national interest waiver please with 1000TT and 100 multi and a MEI. Not for pilots... For exceptional talents you need to be a big shot like an Olympic champion or a well known singer etc... you must show major newspaper articles, publications etc... again good luck not your average pilot. Finally you forgot to mention that there is also an investor category if you have between $500,000-$1,000,000 to invest and create about 10 jobs in the USA than you are also welcome. There is another category for executive trnasfers of multinational companies. I guess if you work as a Branch manager for Motorola in GB than you won't try to become a pilot in the USA.

The only one that the USA offers and Europe doesn't is the GC lottery. about 1:60 chance once a year... keep pluggin'... Regardless 50,000 a year gets selected. Germans are eligible, English aren't. This one is going for you.

You will never get a green card or even the right to work in the USA based on a pilot job. Same as in Europe for a USA citizen. You either have relatives, or a spouse, or prove that for the job that you occupy there is no native workforce available. Same as here.

Discrimination is a different story. IMO laws against discrimination over there are not even close as strong as they are here in the USA. (IMO here in the USA it is over the board but what do I know.) Especially now, I can easily see how a US person would be discriminated against in Europe. I haven't been in Europe for many years and I am not even missing it much anymore but I can easily see Hans watching ZDF about Iraq then throwing an application into the garbage the next day without anyone watching over his shoulder. Europe is so liberal that they can't see their own _crap... On the surface they are politically correct, deeper down as rotten as any other place if not worse. After all it is not in a different universe, only over the other side of the Atlantic you know.

But why on Earth would you want to go to work in Europe as a pilot? If I would be US born it would never cross my mind. For vacation? Sure! Lots of awesome places to check out, just don't lose your return ticket and your US passport if you are lucky to have one.

I am so f**king tired of people who think they are better then anyone else.

ALL CITIZENS IN THE USA ARE EITHER FROM EUROPE, AFRICA, MIDDLE EAST, ASIA AND/OR THE AMERICAS.

The only people who could call themselves true citizens are the ones that the government is holding captive in reservations.

And before any citizen bitches about not being able to get a job overseas, edu-f**king-cate yourself first.

"all they want to do is come here, take our jobs and f#@k our women-folk."

I'm sorry for being good looking buddy!! ;)
