I've heard a lot about the navy, airforce, army ect. for guys in college interested in flight. What is the deal with the National Guard? I hear a lot of college guys going to the guard for aviation. Do they have special programs that other branches don't offer?

NG

Usually a NG slot requires being in the NG first.. doing something else then going to flight. You have to check with the NG unit you would like to apply too..

Guard Flying

Hey dude,

I just graduated from college and I have a slot to fly F-16s for the Guard. If you want more info, PM me and I'll give you the heads up. There's a few guys on this board who are doing the same. The Guard is a great deal.
