Not meant to derail the thread, but....

How does the 'Gateway' system work? Do all new hires have to live near Columbus? Or can anybody live near and fly/work out of any 'gateway'?

You pick your gateway city at the interview or indoc. Check Netjets.com to see where all their gatways are located. You will either pick-up a plane in your Gateway or you will airline it to the location where your a/c is located.
