PErhaps one of you AirTran guys can help me. I have heard that we have a pretty good deal for hotels on Grand Bahama Island. Can anyone steer me in the right direction to find a nice place at a good deal.

Thanks

Freeport S u c k s... But if you really go, then I guess "Our Lucaya" is the best spot...

Went 2 years ago. Nice resort, expensive. Had an OK time. Talked to another fellow who did an all inclusive deal somewhere else on the island and had a ball. I'd look into that option. A cruise would be more bang for the buck and you'll prob. go to Nassau which is quite a bit nicer and a lot more fun.

Westin is nice, about a 5 minute walk from the square.

The Port Lucaya resort (2 story multi colored buildlings) is cheaper but not as nice. Although its right next to the square.

Ya, stay at the casino. You can hang on the beach and get trashed, get dressed up and watch a couple of shows and gamble inside. It's ok, and kind of cheap. It's been a while, but it was fun.

Sheraton and Westin at Our Lucaya are both pretty nice and directly on the beach. Across the street on the harbor is Pelican Bay, which is also pretty nice, but you have to walk about 5 minutes to the beach. All are right next to the town square

There are so many better places to go in the Caribbean than Freeport. Depends what you like I guess.
