First just about anyone who has a 25 will do just about anything to get rid of the ones they have. There are several companies out there that lease that size of aircraft. But be careful there, many of them are one jump ahead of the scrap yard. I have seen a few lease aircraft, and by that I mean aircraft that are only leased out by the owner, not operated, something like rental cars, that are flying violations. And they tend to be expensive to operate due to all the maintenance you have to do.
Considering that price of aircraft right now, I personally would look more toward purchasing. The rates are so low right now that you can own cheaper than lease. Further more considering the area you are in, a 35 or 36 would be a much better option. They would give your friend much more flexability.
