Out of aviation...living out of a suitcase for 25 more years just isn't appealing anymore...

Time to go back to college for a Masters...

With all due respect...

This coming from a guy who probably doesn't fly for a living and isn't older than 21. Flying becomes a job just like any other job and there's nothing glamorous about it. Don't belittle people who want a more stable career than flying.

A little ironic given you bailed on Chicago Express for XJT. Wouldn't that be considered "grass is greener"??? You even alluded to that in your testimonial on jetcareers.com.

HMM

I had a student a few years ago who was having issues learning the basics. One day I finally asked him that question. His response: "Making balloon animals for kids".

Some people just should be pilots...

Passion, man passion

Howlin, No it is not just a job like any other job, too many people think that; leave aviation and then come back, because it is a passion or something like a drugs

BS. It's an addiction.

There's even a 12 Step Group, not that it helps.

Otherwise we'd all be doing something else while waiting for the next flight other than posting on flightinfo.

Fly SAFE!

In five years I will hopefully be finally starting to think about maybe upgrading in the not-too-distant future. On 5th year FO pay I may finally be able to ditch the run-down studio apartment and get a place where there's a real wall between the bedroom and the kitchen. I would say I'd have someone to share that place with, but that's way too optimistic. Mom will still be asking me when I'm going to get a real job with some benefits.

Living by the beach in a tropical island with a hot big breasted Milf that thinks I'm the $hit.........Oh wait, we are talking about flying here.
The way I see it I've always wanted to fly for a big airline, doing international flying, but like I told my interviewer, in this idustry things change overnight when you least expect them to, so I plan to enjoy flying one day at a time. So I think it's all about trying to keep a positive attitude and be thankful to have a job, and when it gets boring I always remind myself that regardless of the kind of flying, it beats working for a living.
The only flying job I would not do for ever would be flight instructing, I would do it part time to keep flying.

Fly safe.

Hmmm, 5 years? Concealed, heavily armed, sighted-in, and muttering to myself.
