Which is best for overall value?

Depends on what you're looking for sir, if it's type specific piston twin training, FSI has the best product, but Simcom is cheaper. For turbine equipment, Simuflite would be my choice. I've never been dissappointed in five years.

Warmest Regards,

Agree with the above, kind of depends. Only Simcom provides the PC-12 training in the US so we're kinda out of options otherwise.

I have been to both FlightSafety and SimuFlight. Training seems to be about the same. The quality of equipment used and classrooms seems to lean toward FlightSafety. SimuFlight needs to update its classrooms and simulators. Have experienced sim problems with every visit. Classrooms at Simuflight need to be updated. As to staff and instructors both schools are good. Simuflight is more laid back and less stuffy. Flight Safety does offer after school social times and SimuFlight could learn from that. Pricing wise Simuflight is cheaper for the same quality of training. All in all I have been satisfied with both.

FSI has been getting more competitive on their pricing. I much perfer FSI, of course I have been to some of the smaller facilities, but they seem to be much friendlier. Too me, Simuflite seems to more of the sterile corporate enviroment. And FSI seems more willing to work with you on special requests.

It also makes a different which FSI you attend. ATL is very good but ICT for the Lear was pretty old for both sim and classroom. Simuflite was overall a nice product. In my 15 years as a professional pilot, Simuflight had the nicest sim I'd ever been in and FSI had the best instructor. I had 8 years with US Airways and both Simuflite and FSI were better.

For years, FSI was the only game in town. That alone caused them, IMHO, to become a little lax in their training since you only had basically one choice in simulator training.

Along comes SimuFlite and FSI really started rethinking their game plan. I used SimuFlite for six years and was very pleased. When you went to training you weren't buried with resumes from instructors looking for work.

Today, FSI is at the top of their game...again attributed to competition. Classrooms are being updated with computers and state-of-the-art training aids, software, digital CPTs and simulators.

I think all three previously mentioned will provide acceptable training. You just need to try all three and pick which one serves your needs the best. Another thing to consider is what sims are available. FSI usually gets first crack at new sims. SimuFlite follows close behind. SimCom only has a few available. For example, for us to train on the Ultra, which SimCom offers this course, we'd have to train in a Citation II with steam guages and do a differences. In my opinion, even though I'm saving a few bucks, I want to train in what I fly. We can talk about EFIS failures/malfunctions all day long, but I want to be able to train with them as well. Also, there is enough performance differences between the two that you can't accurately portray the Ultra using a II (for example).

For single pilot CJ training, FSI is it. At Simuflite, you train as a crew and get on one 45 minute training period single pilot. At FlightSafety, all your sim sessions are single pilot. Simuflite is five days, FSI is three. Price is the same. I'd rather do the firehose in three days single pilot that goof around with a second pilot for five days. Train as you fly....

whatever is the shortest course, thats my favorite.

and if its withing driving distance, even better!
