I have written my own iPad application so that I can copy the data logs from the Garmin G3X Touch SD card after each flight using the Apple USB SD card adapter. My app then calculates all the correct values for the aircraft Journey log and my personal pilot log book. Once I get back to WiFi, I then upload the logs to flysto.net and periodically to Savvy Aviation...

I am an Excel Guru. If anyone wants to work with me on this project, give a shout. You tell me what you need and I'll develop the application.

Heck, I might even resurrect my flight planning program that I wrote in C back in 1985 and translate it into Excel.

dBase IV! I now run it under VDOS. No way I'm going to migrate over 45 years of logs to anything newer.

If you can dump the database to any kind of delimited file, Excel (or just about any modern application) can import it.

Sure, but it won't run my custom programs that read the log files and give me the reports I want.
