There was an ad in USA Today a few days ago advertising for pilot jobs.
Are thty really so short of applicants that they need to advertise in USA Today?

It is part of the upcoming pilot shortge on the low end of the market. This will lead into the hiring boom of June 2007.

If they treated pilots well, they would have a surplus of applicants. I guess it's cheaper to lower mins. and hire green horns.....pathetic.

ASA has been doing that for years. Let me say that a 1000 hr. pilot, with some execption, is not too different from a 500 hr. pilot. Been conducting some informal IOE lately, and getting paid informally too...
