It doesn't sound like any calls will be made this year. I think the whole thing is hinging on fleet replacements/additions (lear 85 driven that is). If the 85 becomes an "addition" to the fleet then that is good news. If it "replaces" another fleet, well, more of the same grind.

I agree. I wouldn't expect anything this year.

In any case, I don't see ANY recalls for at least another year the way things look. Wouldn't surprise me if they can another 15 this year if doesn't get better. Sucks for the recent recalls but, lets face it, we ARE in a depression by the most basic definition: People paying off bills instead of making purchases and subsequently putting money into the savings account instead of buying a new car. There is no trust in the country until housing turns around and the consumer confidence comes back. Until then, our industry is going to be very finicky (sp?). Until we stop getting Macro moves on Micro news, it will be more of the same. I'm actually glad we didn't get raises this year, everyone needs to pull together to save as much money for the company as possible to deter further right sizing.

Though not an especially positive post, Mr. Doyle, I think your last post to be very mature and insightful. I am very fearfully of more layoffs this year, but I think once the economy turns around (i.e. post-Obama) we will grow at a healthy rate.

Yea, the fair tax is sounding good right about now. The tax code is a joke and a huge problem.(unless you're a huge company or a billionaire)
