I have heard that DB Aviation has been growing with new aircraft under management (G150, CL300 and others). Looks like they are hiring onto a KA350 at the moment according to their website.

So, what's the word? Is this a good place to be when compared with other 135 operators? I understand the 135 lifestyle does not appeal to everyone. Do you have to have experience in type to be hired? What about starting salaries for newhire FOs (any range)?

PMs are welcome too. Thanks for any update.

db

A few years back I heard a lot of negative things about this company (second hand, take it for what it's worth), but nothing recently. Maybe it's a sign of improvement.

Absolutely, positively, without-a-doubt stay away from the King Air 350 job at DB Aviation, this cannot be stressed enough! There is a reason DB has went through multiple co-pilots on that thing, and that reason occupies the left seat.

Do you recall the Chief Pilots name? I don't see it listed on their website anymore

Funny you mention that...I was told that by someone while I was on the East Coast. Amazing how word of mouth travels.

A friend of mines brother works there and he seems to like the place pretty damn well. Although he's not on the 350 which is probably the reason why.

If this guy in the 350 is such a tool, why is he still there? Let me take a couple swings at this - he owns the plane, he is related to someone in the company, he is related to someone who owns the plane?

Can this guy and get someone else in there.

Or it was one giant mystery as to why he was allowed to stay.......Anyways, both he and the plane are no longer with DB anymore.

KA 350 @ UGn

I used to fly another King Air 350 about 7 years ago that I believe is owned by the same company that owns the one at DB. The anoymous Captain is employed by the founder of Diamond Management and Technologhy(wwwdiamondconsultants.com), not DB. DB only manages the plane and uses it for charter when not being flown by the owner. At my present company we employ a former co-pilot on the KA 350 at DB. Everything mentioned previuosly about the Captain is 100% correct. If all you want to do is build time as a radio and environmental specialist and deal with alot crap, GO FOR IT!
