Apologies if this has been discussed...

SWA is a growth company. What happens and how close are they to maxing out the B737 market in the US?

Different airplanes? Canada? Carribean?

.

SWA will be able to cherry-pick what's left over when U shuts down and UAL does the same.

Even if these two outfits survive, they will be a skeleton of what they once were and their should be plenty of options should SWA "want" more domestic expansion.

I can't see SWA with a different type. Doing that increases expenses disproportunately to what profit you could make. And SWA is profit oriented (as they should be) so don't look for expansion just for the sake of market share. That's what keeps them where they are.

http://www.usatoday.com/money/biztravel/2004-12-03-usairways-labor-contracts_x.htm

US Airways lead bankruptcy attorney advised B.R. Court that they have till Jan 2005 to get new labor agreements or they will liquidate.

My question is, today is Dec 3. Can they get new legally binding revised agreements in place between today and say, Feb 3? We are talking 2 months, holidays, etc, etc

good luck to US Airways families
