No one can argue with economics, but I think it sends a negative message to the new student, "here, this is what we place as a value on the skills we have just taught you".
Then again, maybe it wants to be a school for the rich-only, where the CFI pay is far surpassed by the $4,000 per month the student gets from his trust fund.
From what I have seen of the tuition prices, I wouldn't be able to attend.
