My favorite part, though, is when he came back as wmuflyguy trying to defend TheGuatABX's DC-9 sim is a 30 series and what they do for -10 series sim training if needed is that they have a -10 series flap handle that the sim tech replaces the -30 series flap/slat handle with. The -10 series actually lands quite differently than a slatted DC-9, the -10 comes down the glideslope approx. 2 degrees AND versus a slatted DC-9 at approx 3 degrees ANU. The -10 series on landing is very similar to a DC-8 with the exception that you can slip the 9 if needed for crosswinds. You will also find that the brakes on the -10 feel quite a bit different than -30 and up DC-9s as the -10 has only 7 instead of all 14 brake pistons working.
