What's a CRJ? identifer

What is the identifier for a CRJ-200. for example a Piper archer is a PA-28-181? is it a CL-65 or CRJ2 ..... or something else

If you're referring to the ATC identifier, then it is a CRJ2.

As far as type ratings are concerned, yes, it is a CL-65 type.

follow up Q? What do you record it as in your log book then?

I log it as CL65-200. Would log the 70 as CL65-700.

looks like I'm not the only one with this question. The Mx service manual states only CL-600. Anyone have a recent type ride what does your cert. say?

Not anymore. Since there are so many versions of it now, it is seperated into CRJ1, CRJ2, CRJ7, etc...
