Enjoy it while it last. If you are at ACA for 5 yrs, that means you should be displaced to the right seat. I was on the fifth year scale when I took the voluntary on Jan 1. If I stayed, I expected to make low 30's in '05. That's after you factor in the commuting expenses associated with IAD. If you were on the 328, then I'm assuming that you'll also be a commuter.

BTW, I was also on the 328. LGA then BOS and finally CVG based. We probably flew together at some point. I hope every thing works out for you.

Yeah I'm part of the displacements that's going on. I should be in the right seat of the bus, so I got lucky.

I can nearly guaruntee we've flown together. Been on the ACJet side since late 00 - early 01 and based at all three domiciles. Some good times..

Good luck out there..

I'm an adopting a new policy. When anyone asks what I make, I'm just dividing my hourly pay by half to come up with an accurate amount. Unless she's hot, then I'm doubling it.

That's pretty pathetic that to get a hot girl you would feel the need to say you make good money. I know you are probably joking but that is one of my pet peeves.

Where do you live?

By chance, you weren't involved in any sort of 'bowling' incident with an FO and older FA, back in the LGA days? Check your PM.

Good luck with the bus.

Dude not to be a bummer or anything but that is like $13.00 an hour if I am doing the math correct. 50 hours perweek?

It may just be but its duty time so you are getting paid whether or not you are flying. It is still better than 17000 and living out of a suitcase.

I made 10k in four months with the company I'm instructing for now. Can't wait to take that step forward to the RJ!

$34K guar 1st year in the right seat of a DA-20 cargo airplane, most make in the $38-40K range 1st year.

well sure if you enjoy the twenty-minute callout, living mere seconds from the YIP airport boundery, and hanging out in your uniform 24 X 7...

;)

"well sure if you enjoy the twenty-minute callout, living mere seconds from the YIP airport boundery, and hanging out in your uniform 24 X 7..."

Hear hear. Every time I'm on the street and at an AIR Inc
USA Jet always sounds appealing at first and then I start thinking about just what the hell you can actually do at your Willow Run home with a 20 minute callout. Basically, nada except sit in front of the tube in your uniform, and don't forget to turn off the gas.

Not that bad if you live in Detroit

Average USA Jet DA-20 pilots flies about 10 days per month, about 500-600 hours per year, gets 11 hard days off, is gone overnight in a hotel about 5 nights. Standby at your home in the local area gives you about 20 days a month at home. Some on a short string. For a commuter is really sucks, because you sit in crash pad doing nothing but waiting. A lot of the local guys find it is a pretty good place to built Part 121 TJ PIC after about two years with the company. Part 121 TJ PIC is the thing that makes your resume stand out.

quote from Bandit60:

"So when you dont make it in the airlines, dont come crawling to a corporate job. You are the type that give airline guys a bad rep."

Are you really that dense?? He wasn't talking about corporate flying........

You really ought to think about what you just said. I work for a great corporate and make more money than any FO and most Capt in the airlines. Oh yea the safey record according to the Feds in Corporate 91 jet operators is better than 121 airlines. That is per 100,000 hours of flight time the jet corporate has the best safety record in the industry.

So when you dont make it in the airlines, dont come crawling to a corporate job. You are the type that give airline guys a bad rep.

LOL!!!
