My dilemma is my girlfriend is 1000 miles away (thats her with my in my avatar btw) and I'm a poor college student. I was there in january and got her a stuffed dog holding a baloon that said "I love you", and a box of candy, then I also sent her One Dozen Long Stemmed Fancy Assorted Valentines Roses, in a vase, 2 days ago. Then when I go down there on 3/11-3/17 I'll take her some place nice that night to make up for not being there today.

-Any AE/CoEx/ASA pilots or anyone period know a nice fancy place in Corpus Christi I could take a girl to make up for missing valentines day?

The AE crews stay in a really nice hotel in Corpus Christi right on the water called the Omni. It's probably pretty expensive, but you never know. There's also some good restaurants rel close by there. Landry's seafood is good.
Theres also an old aircraft carrier you can take a tour through.

Thanks Jet. They stay in the Omni? thats cool. I saw the ac carrier, the USS Lexington, In January. Thats a pretty nice area down there. If all goes according to plans I'll go going there march 11th-17th, and if my gf is gonna be really busy instead of staying near her work on Blanch Moore, I might stay at the omni or something.

We decided to do nothing! Curled up on the couch in comfortable clothes, made popcorn, ate M & M's, and watched a movie. Best VD ever! I actually enjoyed it as much as she did!

An Airline Valentines Day

I am going to sit in my hotel room and type on my computer while my GF goes shopping with her mother about 8 states away from where I am. Gotta love the airline lifestyle sometimes. At least FedEx showed up with the flowers they lost today so I guess thats something.

It's in miami, between Coral Gables and the Grove, off the 836. Old Lisbon...some the best dining i've ever had down here.

No golf for me, but thanks.

Started a 4-day on V-day. Girl I'm seeing drove down 3 hours to hang out for the night previous. Treated her to dinner downtown, watched a flying movie (her choice! I swear! "Always"...), then just crashed out.

She made me a huge tin full of cookies for V-day to bring for my crew, but I was in such a rush I forgot them. Oh well, ALL MINE!
