Baron Driver, there is no harm in putting resumes out now. Why wait until your contract is up. Here is my point. Lets say you have three months left on your contract and you send a resume out today to Netjets ( in this scenario you now meet the minimums). Two weeks from now Netjets calls to schedule an interview. Two weeks after the interview you are offered a job but you still have two months to go to complete your contract.
You give your boss two weeks notice and you ask your boss to give you a prorated balance of your contract. You pay-off the contract and move on. What you did in this scenario is honorable. You made good on the contract by paying the balance and you gave a two weeks notice. If I were your boss, I would consider you again for re-hire because you kept your end of the contract, and you gave me two weeks notice. What else could one ask. I would consider this bridge intact.
