I have to agree with those about Grummans...the Tiger (AA-5B) was one of my favorites. On those hot days in Florida, there was nothing better than popping the canopy open at altitude and flying around. The Mooney was a great one also, maybe not for training like we used it for, but for cross country flights, it was second to none!

Single Recip = Mooney 201, A great travelling machine, fast, responsive, and well built.

Typhoonpilot

I have some time is a Mooney 252. Very fast when you get it up high. Tight controls, felt like a sports car.

The only problem was, I hated getting in and our of it!! :D

DC-3

The DC-3, It has class, style, and is a like an old classic car. Everyone looks when they hear you and every one wants to fly one.

british trislander

'flies in two dimensions, hands off like it's on autopilot.

you can sit there as if you were a glass cockpit 'manager'

similar capacity to a caravan, but a lot more econimical

loose an engine and you hardly notice

Nothing compares to a STOL landing in a Dash 7. IMHO!

I'd have to agree. Throw in a 6.2-degree glideslope MLS STOL approach (such as in Valdez, AK), and it's hard to beat.

Although the 757 sure is nice, too. ;)

schweitzer 1-26....did i spell schweitzer correctly? oh well i'm out of englush class anywayz. was great, single-seat, small, nice handling, aerobatic also.

super-cub, low level with that thing and watching deer standing in the fields as they turn their head and watch you go by.

always wanted to fly that commanche 400. hafta looove anything with an O-720 in it. hey how fast did that thing go with the LoPresti stuff? (*cough cough* 25 gph *cough cough*)

The single engine Rockwell Commander is a d@mn fine airplane. It turns the worst attempt at a landing into a feather-soft touch down just as long as you hit the mains first....not that I know anything about that (cough, cough).

The King Air 350 was a blast to fly too. It didn't land quite as easily as the Commander, but hey, its a Beech...
