4 days... Do you drink?

It's been about 5 years since I've been there, so things may have changed.. Not much to see/do in PQI. Take a drive into Canada or down to Portland. Last time I was there, the eating wasn't very plentiful. A Ruby Tuesday in the mall, and a Chinese Buffet that wasn't very appetising.

Which one of the two hotels in town are you staying at?

Bring a laptop, an XBOX, and a couple cases of beer; you're going to be bored out of your f'in skull staying in that town.

Go to Governor's. Eat some pie. Watch the little train circle the restaurant.

Go to the mall.

Go to The Mai Tai and get drunk.

Best advice, if you can, is to rent a car, go to Quebec City, and stay there. It's a real cool little city; the closest thing to a European town you'll find on this side of the Atlantic. It's about 250 miles each way from PQI.

If you're not there yet, and heading in late at night, review chart carefully. Apparently the runway/approach pilot-controlled-lights are not on CTAF frequency, but another frequency.

Just heard it second-hand from someone who went thru there.

Correct. 122.8 is the CTAF; 122.6 does the lights. It's on the chart, but an easy thing to miss if you're busy.

Also, don't line up for Caribou airport right nextdoor.
