Not if you stumble through the oral.
Your professional attitude toward flying will be displayed by your performance not your threads. That is, unless your threads highlight you. I suppose if you are going to distract your examiner with your choice of clothing, it may as well be by over dressing than underdressing, but again, I'd keep it simple.
 
If I were an examiner and a guy showed up in a tie, I'd wonder what shortcoming he was trying to overcome by OVER-dressing for a flight.

agree, I would hope most do not do this. All of my students definitely never ever did that. Over kill folks....
