24hours a day on call. 5 days a week. I might possibly work with Milehigh. Sounds like my ops.

LOL.. I would love a real schedule!!

I'm just trying to get an idea of what to expect with a starting position with a medium sized 135 outfit.

I'd appreciate any input.

Thanks.
Mine is 8 & 7, accept no less, any one working for a 24/7 pager 135 outfit is basically a bottom dweller.

I too am just getting ready to start my new gig. I am told that it will be a 10 on / 5 off schedule. During my 10 days, I am on call 10 hours each day with a 30-minute callout.

It's for coverage on a Lifeflight ship, so when I'm not flying, I get to do all that fun "busy" work to earn the Benjamins! From what I am hearing, I have to put in 4 hours at the workplace to satisfy my duty day and earn the duty day pay.

I'm on call 24/7. But if someone needs a day off, we can usually get it. I average about 15 days a month (and about one overnight each month).

How does on call 24/7 work? Did the 135 duty and rest regs change again? I wasn't aware that one can legally be on call 24/7 and still accept a trip.

Companies will keep you on call 24/7. Then if you don't end up flying, you've been on rest. Even though when you are on rest, you have to be free of all work duties.

NorskAir. Care to elaborate ? Looking for any Hawker pilots ?
