What is the difference in a Line oriented Interview and a none Line oriented Interview?

I think you are refering to an interview that centers around "line" experience vs. other types of aviation. (ie. line flying=type of flying applied for{Comair-121 experience}).

He may mean LOI's in the sense that there's a mini LOFT as part of the interview. You're given a situation, the interviewers play your crew, ATC, MX, Dispatch etc.

SWA does this now, haven't heard of any regionals doing it though.
