My $0.02 is that you if you bounce it, every time the wheels hit it's a landing/takeoff w/ a flight in a portion of the traffic pattern. It goes, final, landing, takeoff, upwind, final, ect...

With the 7k ft runway here, I don't even need to practice downwind or base in order to keep day current!

Heck, I've known that for a long time. I was once watching a criminal trial. Simple assault case. The defendant was representing himself. When cross-examining the victim he asked:

You can't identify me! How can you identify me? You were looking the other way when I hit you!

Of course, whether the landing question is stupid or not depends on whether it was serious. Hopefully it wasn't.

If he were my student.

..I would just let him stay at home and think of dumb questions. In the mean time I would let him pay me to do all of his training and take his written test and pass his checkride. Then I would fill out his logbook with somebody else'd name and deny everything.

And we thought HIS question was stupid-- guess I got him licked ; )

As far as i know day currency can be maintained with touch and goes. On night landings it must be full stop. Anyone know if to be considered a full stop, do you actually have to leave the runway? Or does 3 Stop and Goes qualify?
