... that has produced such a relatively contented fractional pilot group?

In my short time in corporate flying, at FBOs in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennesse, and Florida I've heard Net Jets and Flight Options guys absolutely blasting their companies in public, and I read it here almost every day.

But the CS guys always seem to be in pretty good spirits, and have a noticeably different demeanor on the road. Also, I don't remember ever seeing them get blasted here by employees, either (not that it hasn't happened).

So I was just curious .... what is it about CS that has fostered the relative contentment and the professional, yet relaxed culture?

talk to a true cs guy and they have just as many problems as us but they aren't alowed to be public about it. The CP and DO regularly post on this board to try and draw out pilots.

Well ... I actually did just that, this past weekend, after having wound up in a rather large group of them at a small FBO in NC. The general consensus was reflected in one specific comment from an Excel Captain: "We have our problems, too, but they are mostly minor growing pains. Most people really like it here."

They were noticeably a more gregarious, and approachable group (three crews total) than the NJA and FLOPs guys I've met so far. Every one of them I spoke with seemed happy to be there. I doubt fear of management would prevent them from speaking up about issues out there in the middle of nowhere with only pilots around (no pax in earshot), both as a group and when talking one-on-one.

Based on my admittedly limited experience ... I'd have respectfully disagree with you on that one.

Verbatim what I used to say about NJA five years ago.

I agree they seem to be an upbeat bunch. I've noticed they tend to steer away from any company related talk, good or bad. Might be due to their relative size to the other frax?

Any CS bubbas out there care to set us straight? :)

The only gripes I've heard from them are their crew meal and tips policies and general discontent with the merit based upgrades (or the brown nose/butt kiss system, as I've heard it called).

I've heard alot of complaints about having to wear the uniform jacket while sitting in the FBO.

Uhmm yeh I am gonna have to go ahead and uh disagree with you on that...lucky enough to have met a few folks from there at a local FBO, some of the nicest people I've met, who seem pretty content with what they are doing...and no news is good news...after looking over many posts on this sight...pretty sure haven't seen much news or chatter on CS.....nj, options, etc.....different story
