Hilton Ave de suffren

1 Block away from the eiffle tower. Around the corner is a great little pastry shop. Remember don't touch they will pick up the pastries for you. :)

Very centrally located. Enjoy a nice dinner at vin sur vin

Hilton Arc de Triomphe (newly redone)
Intercontinental Opera (great spot)
Westin Louvre area (Old Intercont)
Marriott Champs (good spot also)

have fun.

having been there many many times in my previous life...i can weigh in on this one...

Marriott on the Champs is OK...
Le Hotel Meurice is better...
and of course the Four Seasons George V is the best (stayed there 95% of the time)

not familiar with some of the others but I haven't been there in about a year and a half.

Agreed the Four Seasons would be my first choice too. The Marriott on the Champs is WAY overpriced and just okay.

Murf, have you seen that your old place is looking for a GLEX driver????? Thought I might make a call.

Renaissance Paris Vendome Hotel. Great location near Tuilieries in 1st arrondissement. Quiet street and close to Metro.

Last year I stayed at the Marriott at La Defense. It was nice and not too over priced. About a block to the Metro.

If you're going to stay at the Place Vendome why not stay at the Ritz? They place you according to your wealth and status. First floor is always Arab Sheiks. Lowest floor I've ever stayed on was the fourth and at a truly astronomical price. Boris Becker was in the room door. He lost the next day, I must have been too noisy. ;)

vin sur vin- the chef comes out and explains the menu. By the way don't get the fish (it still has its head on it) but the food is unreal.

Le Bistrot de Breteuil resturant 3, place de Breteuil opens at 730 pm inside/outside in good wx great food reservations reccommended english menus available

I'll third the Marriott - however make sure you don't get stuck with one of their rooms that are the size of a closet. Breakfast buffet is superb, the hotel is situated in the absolute center of Paris, and there's a great restaurant across the street to the left, if memory serves me, named Alsace or something like that. Go there with an empty stomach, and don't forget the desserts. If you want to do something to pass the time, as you come out of the front door, head left towards the Virgin Superstore. There are benches situated there, greatest place on the planet to simply sit down and watch the world go past you, not to mention the beautiful French women!

Where to stay in Venice,Italy
Where ever you end up staying, absolutely make sure the hotel/room has air conditioning.

Stayed at the Hotel Danieli, right off St. Marks Square, one of the nicest hotels and locations in Venice. However didn't sleep a wink thanks to high temperature and humidity, with no air conditioner in sight.
