You fellas hired on at TSA under the American Connection codeshare contract right? You should have seen the requirement for larger aircraft down the road and the problem that scope represented in obtaining such aircraft, but you hired on anyway right ? So why are you guys complaining now?? If you want the long jet make the transition, if you don't then tuff it out at TSA, didn't seem to bother a bunch of our own from hopping to the Jet on no payscale when they arrived and these were guys from our own company !!
This is not a new thing at TSA, Hulas used to own United Feeder Service out of Chicago, separate seniority , separate company, anyone wanting to transition over to UFS had to go through the hiring process. UFS wasn't designed as a contract negotiating tool and nor is GoJet.
Of course the payscales are gonna be lower, it's a new airline, we're a service industry and until GoJet get some people on board and start making some coin they're not gonna offer a shedload of money and the pilot-group will not be in a strong position to negotiate a better contract until they do make some money.
So yeah, I for one am gonna flip em a resume until ALPA tells me otherwise, which in this case doesn't apply yet.
As a footnote, when the Jet-scream went away at TSA I was offered a right to left seat transition to go to the Jet on the shady payscale, I quit instead, like I said, I'm done paying dues for others and as long as there is no conflict like Mesa and Freedom,I'm gonna try to get on with GoJet, that is unless you all got some other PRODUCTIVE suggestions that don't involve eating frikkin Ramen noodles for another 10 years.
