Just notified today that the pass agreement that we had with NW will be canceled Jan. 30th once the merger is complete. Thanks DAL mgmt. NW was the only airline my family used passes on and bought full fare tickets on my entire life. Matter of fact just two days ago spent $2200 on tickets to go to Grand Cayman. Wish I could take that back. Thanks DAL mgmt.

You probably can....

You might be able to for a $250 change fee.....

DAL is trying to get all pass agreements to the ZED fare model that way companies are less likely able to cheat by abusing the ID90 system with unrealistic copays based un unrealistic one way coach fares which are never sold on exclusive markets. PM me if you need some examples. Any airline that DAL does pass benefits with will be on the ZED system or I believe DAL will move to terminate pass privledges. If you look at the current pass page, there are something like 150 airlines listed with ZED agreements.
Happy new year!

Northwest won't exist anymore. I don't know how you expect to buy passes on an airline that doesn't exist. Have you bought any Eastern tickets lately?

What now????

Don't hold your breath waiting for DL management to do any favors for JB.

You mean beyond transporting their aircrew to and from JFK for over the past decade free of charge?

I'm suprised they won't do a ZED agreement though.... really they have them with all kinds of stalwarts of aviation, around the globe.

You misunderstood.....

Yeah, and Delta never has a JB pilot going to/from NYC, hmm?

I was responding to the guy who claimed that DAL doesn't want or will ever do any favors for JBLU, when in fact if it weren't for the DAL jumpseat or the rest of the industry, JBLU would have never found enough people willing to work a startup and live within driving distance to JFK.

I was agreeing that DAL does a lot for JBLU, (and I imagine vice versa) but apparently according to the poster, they are not willing to do a ZED agreement which is bizarre considering who they already do ZED agreements with.

Does anyone know if now that the code share with Virgin Blue is going about to begin, will Virgin blue be added to the ZED list? Right now you have to use QANTAS or jetstar interaustralia.

The Virgin Blue code was given anti-trust immunity a few weeks ago. We started selling tickets right away.

DAL allow Zed travelers if they are in the Zed system. If you are not in there talk to your company. The Zed system is much better than the previous system. It allows travel on airlines all over the world.
