We still need Republic for the Airways 170s because they have more than 70 seats as opposed to Shuttle America who is capped at 70.
 
yes, but looks like the 170's rep. gets from MDA will be all they are flying for US. 25 a/c I guess....

but i think, have to go and find it, but think there's a clause US can take back the 170's.......dunno
 
Best news i have heard all year. Someone needs to cap the regionals who are not really regionals but subcontracted cheap labor.

First statement and first part of second statement are right on. Second part of second statement is tasteless. News flash US Air is cheap labor too. Regional pilots are products of mainline union failures. Mainline pilots have no one to blame but themselves.

"One brand one pilot group," should be ALPA's new slogan.

I agree. the pilot groups allowed it to happen. Regionals are small jet providers that should be mainline flying with small jets. I mean with the cost savings of cutting out the middle layer of management they should be able to operate their own fleet of small jets and pay the pilots a wee bit more.
