What happened to USMC Capt. Rich Ashbey

Rich is a franternity brother of mine. I was just wondering whatever happened to him after his very unfortunate accident in the Italian Alps. I always really liked him.

Is he still flying?

He was given a six month sentence to the brig and spent five months there. He then got a dishonorable discharge and last I heard he had initially gotten a job in SoCal doing construction (that was in the early 2000's).

Something those people on the Gondola did not have a chance to say. Bad luck for everyone involved including him, but at least he is still alive and free in America.
