I know it means your going to get "Strip Searched" but what does it really stand for?
 
Special Selectee...more complete searches at security checkpoints. It typically happens when you buy a ticket at the last minute.

Or when your flight cancels and you're re-booked on another carrier. (I found that one out the hard way.)
 
Funny story I put my weapon in a suitcase for a short time to transport it, (not like in a airport). What ended up happening I got SSSS and they lady at TSA was checking EVERY freaking thing i had in the suitcase with huffer machine for residue, it was pretty funny. Even though it took 20 minutes.
