I submitted the online resume for the last 4 months. I have 1600+ with 200+multi. The hotline says that they are hiring. How long is the usual wait to get the call???

Craig gets something like 300-500 resumes a month. You do the math. Just keep updating.

The applications are scored. The cut off score varies with the company's needs. If you can get a hold of Craig he should tell you your score. I have found that with many disgruntle applicants that their shortcoming is not their flight experience but the lack of four year degree.

lol...you need a frickin 4 year to fly cancelled checks in a clapped out Baron?

I guess so wingnutt, I talked to Craig a couple of weeks ago, and he said that without the degree I wouldn't even be competitive right now. I'm at 1300 total with 386 multi, and questioning myself what a dergee is going to do to make me a better pilot. I was hoping to do school while I was working and building time, but lately going back to school doesn't seem like such a bad idea........I get older, but college chicks always stay the same age:D

4 year degree guys are more dedicated. They don't need the money, just the flight time...so they are more reliable. People that work for money to pay off car loans and rent, are not reliable at all. So they get lower grades on their resumes.

WrightAvia- what are you talking about.?.

As I understand it, the resume grading systems of course rates applicants with 4 year degrees higher than those without. God knows a college degree is not required for this job, a level head and common sense does just fine. With the amount of applicants compared to the amount of ground school slots AirNet needs to fill, Mr. Washka can and will be picky about who receives an interview.

A sure-fire way to land an interview is with an internal recomendation.... i know that's not always easy to find either.

Best of luck

it was satire, holmes.

...not totally true either. i know an up-and-commer that has ~1500 total, 500 multi, 250 in Barons, and all hauling checks with three internals, hes been applying since Bob was over there, and cant get the time of day from Craig.

...then again, im pretty sure he dosent have the "magical" 4 year degree either
