hey guys i need help. i'm cfing right now and i'm ready to move on. but i'm don't know if i'm gonna be able to get hire by any 135 operation or a regional like skywest or horizon.the reason is because i had a misdemeanor back in 1994 and a violation back in 1997. as you know we all make mistakes in life. so what do you think? what are my options? anybody that you know went through the same problem? please help!!
p.s. i have all the 135 requirements. thanks guys.

What was the nature of the offenses? That will play a big part. I had a buddy I taught with that had a few arrests on his record (assualt, falsified car insurance, etc...) but he was upfront and honest about it and got hired by a regional.

Don't sweat it. Be honest about it and let them know what you learned from the inncodent. I had two misdemenors from my "wild days" and I was hired by the guard and hold a Top Secret security clearance. Also have a job at a regional (non-flying, but, still...)

Don't sweat it, but DO NOT CONCEAL it in the interview. Be upfront and honest about it and try and put a positive spin to it if pressed on the issue; you know: "I made some mistakes, but here's what I learned and this is how I moved on to be a better person."

They'll probably laugh about it and tell you its a good skill to have while working for slave wages.

And if worse comes to worse, go work at Mesa, they can't hold you to a higher standard than their CEO.

And definitely don't do it again....

Good luck.
