Here's a couple of things to try out.
First, get your MEI if you can afford to do so. In addition to building time instructing, you can also give "dual" to someone else anytime you are riding in the airplane with them, provided you have the hours in it to be legal to do so. Do not fly in a twin with three other MEI's and log it. I knew people who did that, and it wasn't right.
Second, the worst any potential employer can possibly tell you is either no or not yet. Visit the hangars at the airports you frequent and start handing out resumes in your spare time. Cessna 310's to Gulfstream 5's. Odds are you'll be handing them out for a while, but, at least some will recognize you and your name after a while and know you are out there. And, it's a longshot but not impossible that you might actually get something when you are out. That's not unheard of.
I hope this helps, and good luck.
