what can I do with a Multi com inst with 50 hours? And please only HELPFUL replies....I KNOW what I can do with my 50 hours...lol

What are your other times?

If youre under 1000tt, pretty much just instructing, banner towing, traffic watch, flying sky divers. VFR part 135 (if you're lucky), etc...

if you dont have it get your MEI. even with low multi time this helps when/if you apply to the regional level. With it you may be able to get to the 100 hour mark pretty quickly. If you are looking into cargo most I know of require a bit more multi time to get the job.

Yeap you can do just that...LOL
Kidding aside, get your MEI and get more multi!!

Here's a couple of things to try out.

First, get your MEI if you can afford to do so. In addition to building time instructing, you can also give "dual" to someone else anytime you are riding in the airplane with them, provided you have the hours in it to be legal to do so. Do not fly in a twin with three other MEI's and log it. I knew people who did that, and it wasn't right.

Second, the worst any potential employer can possibly tell you is either no or not yet. Visit the hangars at the airports you frequent and start handing out resumes in your spare time. Cessna 310's to Gulfstream 5's. Odds are you'll be handing them out for a while, but, at least some will recognize you and your name after a while and know you are out there. And, it's a longshot but not impossible that you might actually get something when you are out. That's not unheard of.

I hope this helps, and good luck.

Thanks for the resposes....I guess I need to get the other 50 some how...

Once you get your 1200TT I would recommend hitting up the cargo 135 operations. Many of them publish 100 or 200 multi but the reality is finding quality pilots with those qualifications who aren't going to the airlines is difficult at this time. It never hurts to send some resumes out.

50 Hrs Multi

I know a guy who got hired at Airnet flying twins with 11 hours of multi. If you have 50 hours multi and are close to 135 mins, start beating on some doors. I believe that Airnet is still doing the SIC program if you have around 1000TT. One thing is for sure- they aren't going to come looking for you, you have to go to them. Once you get the 135 mins you have to be aggressive and let them know you want the job (I guess that pretty much goes for 135, regionals, corp. etc)!!:)
